How transactional VOD works

Transactional video on demand, or TVOD, is based on a one-off purchase. A viewer chooses a title and pays for access under conditions stated before checkout. A time-limited rental and an offer with ongoing access are different products: describe yours precisely.

Build a useful content page

Include a synopsis, running time, language, subtitles and a free trailer where rights permit. State the total price, access window and compatible devices. Concrete details help viewers decide.

Grant access after confirmed payment

A production service must validate payments on the server, including signed payment-provider notifications. A browser redirect to a success page is not proof of payment. Store access rights and check them before playback.

Test before launch

Test successful and failed payments, interrupted checkout, confirmation emails and expired access on mobile. VisioVOD currently accepts project enquiries, without online payment.
